Maplepaw stood out of sight of the warriors enterance, it was the crack of dawn and Nightmist had ordered her to go gather some herbs, she instantly repeated them in her head making sure none was forgotten. Nightmist like always told her to bring a warrior along to... just in case. Maplepaw knew what her mentor was worried about.
First she was young only at the start of her training which meant she might get lost and or come back hurt. Maplepaw knew she was right but it felt so weird.
Second she was a medicine cat apprentice with not very good fighting skills, she knew a bit enough to fight back, but she was sure even another apprentice could take her out.
Third was her disablitly which Maplepaw tried to forget about since it bugged her constantly, she wished she did not get tired so quick... it was a pain.
Maplepaw sighed shortly she was not going to get anywhere by just standing around like this. She mustered up her courage and stepped into the warriors den. She stood there for a moment watching them sleep.
"Who wants to go with me to fetch some herbs?" She asked into the shadowy den her voice quieter then she expected, she stood for a few seconds before someone finally answered her call.
