As ForestStar crept out of camp, he shook out his fur and tasted the air for scents of prey. Even though he smelled scents of prey around, he ignored them, trotting toward the river. The forest was very soothing, and Foreststar found himself shut off from the world. He only did this on occasion, not wanting to be cut off from his Clan. But it felt good, as if his past never was anything but that, the past. As he padded, he tried to figure the best place for hunting. The River Bank is always great in Green-leaf. he thought to himself and picked up the pace, soon reaching the back. The sounds of rushing water reached his ears, and he relaxed. Dropping into a crouch, he tasted the air. Vole. He pulled himself forward, stalking toward the scent until he could see the little brown, plump vole. He crept closer, then leaped onto the vole, pinning it with his paws. It almost escaped his claws, but he bit into its neck before it could. He sat back up, the vole dangling in his jaws, and dug into the earth, dropping the vole in and scraping leaves and dirt back over it.

A silver and black head peered out from behind a clump of cattails on the sloping bank. Her dark blue eyes darting to watch her leader take down a vole. Atleast prey is abundant. the she-cat thought to herself. Standing up slowly as not to make a sound amongst the reeds, she stood up and made her way toward the other cat. "Hello, Foreststar." Rushingriver greeted and nodded respectively at him. Standing across from him, the silver cat licked her paw and ran it over her ear. "Looks like the prey is running well." she smiled and nodded at his vole. Rushingriver was a friendly she-cat who was liked by many. She was calm, but could be very adventurous at other times. Her mysterious dark blue eyes made her slightly intimidating looking at times, but she was slightly built.

ForestStar dipped his head in greeting, muscles rippling under his tabby and white pelt. "Hello, RushingRiver." he meowed, glancing down to where he had buried the vole. "Yes, very." Ever since the death of his brother, DarkHeart, ForestStar had hated rogues, and ecen become untrusting toward the other Clans. But not matter what happened, ForestStar always hid his own emotions, keeping a calm look on his face. He rarely opened up to others, in worry that some day he'll lose them. "How has hunting been with you?"

Rushingriver looked around guiltily, aware that she hadn't hunted yet today. "Umm, I'll be getting on with that now." she smiled nervously at her leader. Rushingriver padded up to the edge of river and peered in, the silvery-grey water rushing past her. She waded in a little ways so the water touched her belly fur. Shivering from its cold touch, Rushingriver looked down and trained her eyes on the water. Waiting till a silver flash moved past her, she whipped out her paw and snagged the fish in the back. Tossing her catch on the river bank, the she-cat gave a large jump and landed beside her prey, pinning it to the ground with one paw and killing it. Rushingriver picked up the fish in her mouth and trotted back the area where Foreststar was. She dropped the fish next the her and said to Foreststar, "Hunting's been great with me!" The silver cat looked at Foreststar and smiled, hoping he didn't think she was too irresponsible.

Another she-cat pulled herself out of the brush and onto the bank of the river, she was blue grey in color and had stunning blue eyes, Cloudywinter smiled at each of the cat friendily, "Hey, mmm I've got to catch me some fish today." Cloudywinter purred everyone knew her favorite food was the fish from the river, and the more she caught the better the chance she would get one from the fresh kill pile tonight. She walked towards Rushingriver who was near the water looking at his vole and her fish. She walked into the water and looked for some fish that were willing to be caught.

ForestStar grinned, watching RushingRiver make her way back with her newly caught fish. "Well, thats good." he meowed, glancing over to CloudyWinter and nodding. "Might help." he meowed, sarcastically and with humor, so he didn't mean it to be offensive.

Rushingriver smirked at the tom's sarcasm. "Well, I'll just have to catch more then." she growled good-naturely to Foreststar. Getting up, Rushingriver caught sight of Cloudywinter. "Hi, Cloudywinter. How's it going?" she asked her clanmate.

Cloudywinter smiled ignoring Foreststar's comment and padding to the river silently walking into the water standing still once the water was at her chest. "Good. You?" She asked looking towards Rushingriver now. While waiting she focused on the water towards a silver shape, she flung in her paw and got the fish by the tip of it's tail fin.

He blinked, watching CloudyWinter, who completely ignored him. Well, how respectful. he thought to himself, rolling his eyes. Already, he could tell that CloudyWinter must be arrogant and proud, the type of cats that ForestStar stayed away from. "Alright then." he muttered to himself under his breath, scanning the water.

Cloudywinter never meant to sound proud or arrogant she just did not know what to say back and did not want to sound awkward. She looked into the water watching it swirl and splash along the sandy bank, at times little rainbows swirled in the water. She dabbed her paw in the water liking how it lapped it up.

"I'm fine thanks." Rushingriver replied to Cloudywinter. Making her way over to the river, Rushingriver sat down near Cloudywinter. She watched the sliver water with keen eyes as she waited for a fish to come by.

But instead of fish, a cat head popped up from in the water. She was young, maybe senior apprentice or young warrior. She smiled to the cat's on shore, but didn't speak until she swan over toward them. Climbing out of the water, she shook her pelt, spraying all the cats with droplets of water. "Hi guys." IcedPaw purred, sitting down. "Hey, have any of you seen WinkHeart or SplatFoot? I can't find either of the idiots anywhere." Despite her words, IcedPaw loved her brother and sister dearly. They were all she had left.
